Ms. Dorothy Cooks was born on October 19, 1931. She passed from this life to everlasting life to be with her Lord & Savior on March 9, 2020 at the age of 88. Dorothy worked for W.C. Tenery hospital for 20 years serving and caring for others. She retired in 1998. Dorothy was active in church by serving others and sharing her faith in Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Loyal Cooks, daughter, Dorothy Jean Richardson, her brothers, Alex Kindred and Lewis Kendrick, Her sister, Janette Miles and a great-granddaughter, Keajah Jones. Dorothy leaves behind many family members who held her in high esteem; son, Richard (Marsha) Cooks; 9 grandchildren, Gerald Cooks, Steven (Jenifer) Cooks, Stefani Miller, Amy (Lebra) Reed, Felecia (Randy) Head, Terrance (Catrina) Cooks, Richard (Nicole) Cooks, Jr. Marques Richards and Morshare' McGruder; 23 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; special friends Allene Thomas, Ms. Jonny B. Miller, Minnie Grisby, Ms. Ellen Hart, Jannelle Jones, Ms. Bonnie Kendrick and a host of other relatives that loved her.
