On November 17, 1987 in Ennis, Texas, Ray Goff, II and Gladys Goff became the proud parents of a baby boy in which they named Ray Allen Goff, III. Ray, III was affectionately called "Lil Ray" by all who knew and loved him. Lil Ray was raised in the Bardwell, Texas Community and attended school in the Ennis Independent School District. Lil Ray was active in sports at Ennis High School. He played Ennis Lions football, was on the track team, powerlifted, and played basketball. Lil Ray was a 2006 graduate of Ennis High School, Ennis, Texas. Lil Ray also was a loving devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He was well known in Ennis and he too will be remembered as a smiling, kind-hearted person who didn't mind helping those in need. Lil Ray was a faithful supporter of the Timothy Baptist Church through his mother Gladys Goff and at times attended services with her. We will miss Lil Ray, but we rest in the fact we know he is in the hands of the Lord, where there is no misunderstandings for God has wiped all tears from his eyes. Early Sunday, November 17, 2013, he went home to be with the Lord at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. At the time of his death, he was employed by Sherwin Williams. Lil Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Goff; one brother, Erick Goff; grandparents; Johnny and Katie Carter, and Ray Allen Goff, Sr. Great-grandparents, Willie Baine and Huey Fulton; Great-great-grandmother, Kate Fulton; Lil Ray leaves to celebrate his life: Sisters; LaKeshia Carter (Tim) and Tonya Goff of Ennis, Derrick Goff (Kimberly) of Grand Prairie, Texas; Father, Ray Goff, II; Grandmother, Lois Goff; Five nieces; Daija Carter, Atiruz Zurita, Brooklyn Goff, Tamiyah Goff, all of Ennis and Nylah Goff of Waco, Texas. One nephew; Treyvon Goff of Ennis, and numerous uncles, aunts, host of other relatives and friends.
