Nedra Lavon Lacey, 63, of Waxahachie, Texas, entered eternal rest on June 16, 2021. She was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her loving father, Walter N. Lacey and grandson, Zachary Lee Demond Jackson II.
Nedra (Net) Lavon Lacey was born on June 29, 1957, in Waxahachie, Texas to the late Walter and Christine Lacey. She was a faithful member of Joshua Chapel A.M.E. Church and sung in the choir. Her education from elementary to high school consisted of several schools with the Waxahachie Independent School District. In May 1976, she graduated from Waxahachie High School.
Nedra started her job interests in what she loved doing, working and serving people through food. She started her first job with K-Bob's Steakhouse, then The Covenant Place, and lastly, Oliver E. Clift Elementary School where she finished her job "well done Net" serving many students.
Those who remain to cherish her memories: Her sons, Tyrus N. Lacey, Zachary Lee Demond Jackson, and Eddie Ray Moore Jr. all of Waxahachie, TX; mother, Christine Lacey, of Waxahachie, TX; two brothers Glenn Lacey, of Waxahachie, TX and Darrell Lacey (Michelle) of Lancaster, TX; two sisters, Donna Lacey of Waxahachie, TX and Madelyn King, of Lancaster, TX; nine grandchildren, Tyra N. Lacey, Tyrus (TJ) Lacey, Amari Moy, Za'Khia Jackson, Tyrik Lacey, Braelyn Moore, Tori Hamilton, Za'Kari (Bubba) Jackson and Kyezie Coleman; a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
