Mrs. Margueritte R. Norman was born February 18, 1924 in Waxahachie, Texas to Ms. Venessa Robertson and Jessie W. Ruffin and reared by her great aunt, Mrs. Carrie Oliphant. She was married to Mr. James H. Norman. Mrs. Norman was the only girl to ride all over Waxahachie in the horse and buggy days. She adored her brother, Willie H. Brown (deceased); cousin, Jackson Hubert, the last of the Rev. M. J. Brooks Family; and her grandfather, Nelse Robertson. Mrs. Norman had a host of godchildren, The Walter Taylor grandchildren; Ms. Regina Edwards; Ms. Arice Garner; Mr. Jeffery Hig; and Carnett Hig. Her best childhood friends were Mrs. Allene Thomas and Mrs. Katie Wright.
