Obituary

Obituary Luciler Hamilton Mosley, was born September 17, 1917 to the parentage of Lawrence Hamilton and Gertrude Rhodes Hamilton in Freestone County. She was the oldest of seven children. She attended school in Freestone and Navarro County and received a fifth grade education. Luciler left a legacy for her family. Luciler met and married Earl Phorne and to that union three sons were born. She and her children moved to Ellis County where she met and married Vernon Mosley and to this union three daughters were born. She accepted her faith in Christ at an early age under the leadership of her father Rev. Lawrence "Singing" Hamilton. She continued to serve as a faithful member under the leadership of Pastor P. R. Jackson until death. Luciler was a charter member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where she continued to serve as a faithful member under the leadership of Pastor P. R. Jackson until death. While a member she held several positions in church, such as: Sunday School teacher, building fund treasurer, president of the mission society, choir member, church secretary she was also a faithful member of the city-wide choir, and a member of the Eastern Star. Luciler served as a secretary of the People Association and was a charter member under the leadership of Pastors -Rev. Gretal Wright, Rev. James .Larkins, Rev. S. M. Cloud, Rev. Caliecut and Rev. J. T. Kennard, Sr. she served faithfully until it was disband, She will be missed by her family and friends. She always had a hand out to help whomever she could. Luciler is preceded is death by parents-Lawrence and Gertrude Hamilton, husband-Vernon Mosley; three sisters-Johnnie Byrd, Deola Robinson and Missionary Lillie Becks; four brothers-Willie, Roosevelt, James and Lawrence, Jr. two sons-Rufus and James Phorne; a daughter-Shirley Mosley Mullins; and a grandson Dwayne Phorne; three sons-in-law-Clifford Mullins, George Love, Sr. and Chester Williams. The book of eternal life was open June 28, 2012 before day. She leaves to cherish her memory:2 sons-Allinzie Phorne and Donnie Ray of Waxahachie, TX.,; two daughters; Laverne Love of Odessa, TX., and Helen Williams of Waxahachie, TX.; eight grandchildren- James A. Phorne, Harold Miller, Sr., Debra Phorne, Wanessa Monk, Angela Jackson, Harolyn Moore, George Love, Jr. and Nicole Williams ; nineteen great grandchildren; and four great, great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law-Emma Phorne and Annie Phorne; a sister-in-law Bertha Hamilton of Marshall, TX.; a brother-in-law Elder Merle Becks of Italy, TX.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, church family, three God-children-Inez Piper and Marilyn Mims and Barnard Chandler a host of other relatives and friends.
