Katherine Jones was born May 24, 1937 in Pleasant Ridge, Texas to Alvin and Mattie Hall. Katherine later moved to Waxahachie, Texas where she met and married L.D. Jones. She has been a native of Waxahachie for the last 60 years. At a very early age, she accepted the Lord. She was a faithful member of the Inspiring Body of Believers Baptist Church where she was the mother of the church and attended faithfully until her health failed her. Katherine is preceded in death by: her husband - L.D. Jones, father and mother - Alvin and Mattie Hall, one sister - Vergie Fuller, two grandsons - Warren Ransom, Sr. & Terrence Hutchins, one granddaughter - Mashon Parks, and a very special friend - Edward Hayes (Gabby). Katherine leaves to cherish her memories: four sons - Kenneth (Pamela) of Garland, TX, Larry (LaRonda) of Ft. Worth, TX, Melvin and Walter of Waxahachie, TX; five daughters - Debra Parks (Willis), Shelia Venters, and Keanna Jones of Waxahachie, TX, Carolyn Frazier(Jerry) of Dallas, TX, and Veneda Walker(Henry) of Desoto, TX; three sisters - Ethel Sowells, Anna Woods, and Rose Mary Davis; two brothers - Walter And L.D. Hall; 35 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, many other nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
