Joseph Talton was born March 14, 1935 in Maypearl, TX. To the union of Bernice Golden and Sherman Lee Talton Sr. He served as a faithful member and Deacon at Whitlow Missionary Baptist church in Dallas, TX from 1991-2021. He became a widower after 51 years of marriage to Jerlene H. Talton. Joseph worked for American Building & Maintenance for 36 years and retired from ACCO Feeds (Cargill) after being employed for 37 years. He loved gardening, spending time with his family and serving in his church. On May 26, 2021 at 8:15 at Edwards/Elmhurst Hospital in Naperville, IL he made his transition to his eternal home. He is survived by his son Joseph Earl Talton, daughter in law Valerie M. Talton, grandson Joseph Earl Talton II, granddaughter Nyla M. Talton, brother Earlie McDowell, sister Mattie Crownover and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his father Sherman Lee Talton Sr., mother Bernice Woodard, brother Robert Talton, brother Sherman Lee Talton Jr., brother Bobbie Talton, brother Willie Talton, sister Geneva Littles, sister Maggie Pruitt, brother Melvin Talton and wife Jerlene H. Talton.
