Mrs Johnnie Story, 91, was the devoted wife of Clevon(Son) Story of Waxahachie. Born in Palmer, Tx on June 22, 1922 to Rev, J.A.& Mrs. Fannie Haley. Mrs.Story departed life on November 18, 2013. She was a member of Joshua Chapel AME Church and served on the Usher Board for many years.She attended Waxahachie public schools. Mrs. Story was preceded in death by both parents. Also waiting to welcome her in glory her four sisters- Sarah Leaks, Lois Anderson, Bennie Johnson, and Lillie Pointer. She will be met by a big loving smile from her wonderful son, Oliver Story as well. She leaves many to celebrate her life including her husband of seventy-one years, Clevon Story. Three sons:Billy Story(Rosel) of Stockton, CA, James Story of Dallas, Tx and Cornelius Story(Pam) of Desoto, Tx, one daughter, Shanda Story of Waxahachie, Texas along with her daughter-in-law, Homer Story(Oliver) of Dallas, Tx, one brother, Dr. Bob Haley, Sr. of Waco, Tx, eighteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many other relatives, family and friends. Viewing on Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 2:00pm to 5:30pm, followed by a wake service from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Community Funeral Home Edgar Thomas Memorial Chapel.
