Elder James Charles Jackson completed his journey and joined our Heavenly Father on February 4, 2020. James was born April 3, 1933. He attended Julia C. Frazier Elementary School and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1953. James served in the U.S. Army form 1953-1955 and was honorably discharged. He worked as a mail carrier and postal clerk for two years.
James attended and graduated from Tennessee State University with a degree in General Business. He served as president of the Texas Club at Tennessee State. He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. After graduation he was named Alumnus of the year. While working on his master's degree he earned a teacher's certificate from the University of North Texas. He taught at several schools including Fairview School in Linden, Texas. He taught Business, Social Studies, typing and golf there and for 10 years in the Dallas Independent Schools O.W. Holmes, Roosevelt and South Oak Cliff.
James is survived by his daughter Felecia Lashan Jackson-White, two grandchildren Brittini Traecia and Braylon Niel White. His son Rodney Wayne Jackson preceded him in death.
