II Timothy 4:7 Reflections of Life Mrs. Gloria Guinn-Robinson was born on June 30, 1943 to the parentage of Garfield and the late Mary Horton in Henderson, Texas. During her early years, she was reared by her late grandparents, Joseph and Tishie Anderson. She accepted Christ at an early age, and united with Mt. Hebron Baptist church where she was active in Sunday school, and BTU. She was educated in the Public Schools of Henderson, Texas and graduated from Hill High School in 1961. She continued to be active in the Hill High Alumni Association. Seeking to expand her horizons, she left East Texas and moved to Dallas, Texas. She was further educated at Bishop College and was selected Miss Freshman Bishop College in 1963. While in Dallas, she joined Smith Chapel A.M.E. Church. There she met and married the late Leslie Guinn. To this union three children were born. While at Smith Chapel, Gloria was very proud to be one of the original members of Smith Chapel's Greeters Ministry. Gloria worked at Parkland Memorial Hospital as a PBX Operator for over 16 years. She was a dedicated employee until her health began to decline. In 2001, she married her companion for over ten years, Nathaniel "Earl" Robinson. Gloria was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved shopping, talking on the telephone, and spending time with family and friends. Gloria loved God, her church and SCAME church members. Once she was no longer able to attend, she enjoyed the phone calls, and cards that she received in abundant supply. She was preceded by: her son, Michael Anthony Guinn, her mother, Mary Horton, and grandparents, Tishie and Joseph Anderson.
