Mrs. Florence R. Hill was born on April 8, 1942 to the parentage of George Goss and Ethel Haire. She was a 1960 graduate of James D. Madison high school and also earned her Associates degree from Mountain View College, Dallas, Tx. Florence worked at Texas Instruments for over 25 years and Photronics until her illness in July 2011. A faithful missionary, the epitome of the Proverbs 31:10(A Virtuous Woman); Florence was a Loving, Kind and Compassionate soul that will truly be missed. Dedicated member of Smith Chapel A.M.E. church for many years. A member of the Usher Board and Aslee Lewis Unit of the Othel Hight Missionary Society. She was married to the late Albert "Al" Hill. Children are Meldria Johnson (Mike), Jeanna Hunt, Toni Harris (Arthur III), Albert D. Hill. Grandchildren: Michael and Torrian Timms, Jonah Hill, Arthur IV, and Artavia Harris. Jamecia Johnson, Meshelle Johnson (Dewayne), Catrina Taylor (Dorsey), 9 great-grand children. Left to cherish her memories, her brother Pastor James E. Goss (Marissa), and a host of other nieces and nephews. A special note of thanks for appreciation to her long-time friends: Pearlyn Scott, Gloria Malone, Dorothy Washington, Evonne Jenkins and Gloria Darty. Very special thanks to cousin Johnnie Renee Holman that assisted us with Momma in her final days.
