Elvia Ann Skinner, 59 was welcomed in the arms of Jesus on May 31, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents Amos and Bertha Carter and 3 sisters Lorene Carter, Lillie Ruth Carter and Carrie Mitchell.She leaves to cherish many memories to her devoted husband of 40 years, Felix Skinner Sr.;2 sons Felix Skinner Jr. (Cherlyn) of Waxahachie,Tx, Jermaine Skinner(Kenya) of Duncanville,Tx and 2 daughters; Bridgett Skinner of Lancaster Tx and Blair Skinner of Dallas,Tx; one brother, James Carter of Waxahachie ; one sister, Gloria Carter of Waxahachie,Tx,; best friend Wanda Waters,16 grandchildren and a host of nieces ,nephews ,family and friends.Elvia was a graduate of Turner High Class of 1968.She was a lifetime member of Mt. Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church where she served as a usher. She was previously employed at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Dallas, Tx until she retired in 1985.
