Eliza Chriss Birdsong, affectionately called "Tee Liza" was born on September 2, 1923 in Rayville, Louisiana to the late John Henry & Pinkie Chriss. She accepted Christ at an early age, and united with Mount Olive Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, Louisiana where she remained faithful until she moved to Dallas, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hardy Birdsong; two brothers, John Henry and Louis Chriss, Sr.; one sister, Pinkie Chriss Jackson; one son, Edward Lee (Alice) Birdsong; and son-in-law, Robert Lee Taylor, Sr.
Eliza leaves to cherish her memories and mourn her passing: son, Willie (Irma) Birdsong of Palestine, TX; daughters, Josephine Birdsong Taylor of Dallas, TX and Betty Ann (Kenneth) Chriss Graves (adopted); one brother, Levi (Bertha) Chriss; grandchildren, Larry Birdsong, Timothy (Vanessa) Birdsong; Patricia (Robert) Birdsong; Tammy (Derrick) Birdsong, Nigela Birdsong, Christopher Birdsong, Sharon Birdsong, Michael (Italia) Birdsong; Tanya Birdsong, Kevin Birdsong, Sharon Diane Taylor, Vernon Taylor, Sequita (Tarrence) Walker, Antonio (Lynetta) Taylor, and Robert (Amber) Taylor, Jr.; twenty-five great grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Idella Birdsong; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be greatly missed!
