Dianne Rose-Reed was born February 25, 1969, to her biological parents John Riley Butler and Carolyn. Dianne was later adopted by John and Evelyn Rose, who raised Dianne until their eternal rest. Dianne attended Athens ISD until her martial union with Thurman Burr Reed. He referred to Dianne as “Dooda”.Dianne was raised in church, where at some point she learned to play the piano. This was a talent many never knew she had! Dianne has worked in the restaurant business, retail and nursing homes as a CNA, but her focus was caring for her mother, Mrs. Evelyn Rose and her daughter Ebony Wofford aka Shay.Dianne accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a member of By God’s Grace in Palestine, Texas under the leadership of Apostle Leonas Kinder and his wife Pastor Denice Kinder. Dianne later became a member of River Church of Frankston, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Marilyn Byrd. Since Dianne’s relocation back to Waxahachie, Texas where she resided at Focus Care, she was not a member of a church but did attend some services at New Town C.O.G.I.C, Pastor Craig Kelly Sr. of Waxahachie, Texas.Dianne continued to hold on to her faith, even amid her situations. When Dianne couldn’t attend church services, she enjoyed her time with Pastor Hornsberry, former Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Waxahachie. Whether he was bringing the word to all the residents or just their personal interaction about God’s word. As a resident at Focus Care, Dianne was also the Residents Advocate. Due to her extensive work history as a C N A, Dianne did not mind being a mouthpiece for herself or the other residents. Dianne was also crowned Focus Care Prom Queen 2024. Dianne is preceded in death by her parents John and Evelyn Rose, biological father John Riley Butler. Paternal grandparents, Will and Lethann Butler and uncles Bobby Joe, Ira James, Ardale and Billy Charles. Dianne leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Thurman Burr Reed. Her three children: Ebony La’Shay Wofford of Waxahachie, Texas and Evelyn Dora of Athens, Texas. Her only son, Keith Melton II of Dallas, Texas. (siblings): Keisha Butler of Waxahachie, Monique Butler of Longview, Jason (Chuntai) Butler of Dallas and Na’Kendra Butler of Athens, Texas.
