Mr. Billy Joe Allen was born May 7, 1935 in Waxahachie, Tx. He was the 6th child born to Rev. and Mrs. Osborn and Inease Allen. Billy entered eternal rest on March 10, 2013. Billy was loving husband, faithful father, giving brother, and a wonderful friend. He was educated in Waxahachie, Tx and graduated from Turner High School in 1955. Billy also attended Prairie View A & M college. Billy received Christ and was a member of Smith Chapel AME Church were he served as a faithful member of the Trustee Board, Usher Board, and Male Chorus. Billy was employed for many years at General Cable in Carrolton, Tx. He also was employed by Smith Chapel AME Church for many years. Billy leaves to cherish his memories to, wife of 51 years, Mary Jo Allen, 4 sons Billy Joe Allen, Jr., Kenneth Allen(Debria), Roderick Allen, and Marcus Allen, two sisters, Stella Taylor and Peggy Black(Melvin), two brothers, Willie Allen(Barbara) and Van Allen). 8, grand children, 1 great-grand child, aunt Oneida Wright and many other family and friends.
