Ms. Aria Hudson was born in Pelham, Texas on December 15, 1914 to the late Mr. Elbert Sample and Mrs. Florscilla Hughes. She attended the Pelham Elementary School and accepted Christ at an early age. At the age of 16, Aria married the late F.W. Hudson on September 6, 1930 and to the union 9 children were born. She was preceded in death by her children James Hudson, Elmer Hudson, Earnestine (Hudson) Burrell, and Terry Eugene Hudson; and her sister Elsie Kenney. Survivors include her children Leo Hudson, Sr., Verlene Hudson, Debra (Billy Ray) Curry, Doris Hudson and Donald (Evelyn) Hudson, Sr., two siblings, Joel Sample 96 years, Dawson, Texas and Elbert Sample, 92 years, Corsicana, Texas. Aria was a devoted housewife and mother, and was an active member of the Mt. Horeb Missionary Baptist Church in Waxahachie, TX until her health failed. She leaves to cherish her memories, 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
