The Life Story Of AlVelma Norwood Stanfield " To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the havens." ~Eccl: 3:1 " A Time To Be Born" Alvelma Norwood Stanfield was born May 17,1936 to Johnny Norwood and Laura Mae Lawson in Gause, TX " A Time To Plant" Alvelma, was raised up in a loving Christian Home with four Brothers and Two Sisters. She attended Rising Star Baptist Church of Rockdale, TX where she accepted Christ into her life. She later moved to Maypearl,TX around 1983 where she became a member of Canaan Baptist Church and was a loyal worker in the kitchen. Then she later moved to fellowship with Mount Horeb Baptist Church of Waxahachie, TX in 1999. Where she worked on the Nurses Gill and Cooked and Served until her health failed. " A Time To Build Up" Alvelma, attended Gause I.S.D. She worked as a Cook for Pleasant Manor Nursing Home for many years. She also worked for Maypearl I.S.D as a cook for many years until she retired. Alvelma was a gardener for many, many years. All that knew her; know that she loved her garden. " A Time to Love" Alvelma, married Jill Belcher in 1961. They were married until his departure. Then she later married Mr. Henry Stanfield in 2001 were they were happily married until her departure. " A Time to Die" On July 4, 2010 Alvelma Norwood Stanfield " Baby" slipped quietly from her earthly tabernacle to enter peaceably into Heaven's Kingdom. She was proceeded in death by her parents her mother Mrs. Laura Mae Lawson Walker and Father Johnny Norwood and Brother Oz Owens. Grand parents Lillian and Johnny Norwood and nephew James Malloy. Because of the lasting impact she had on all that knew her and experienced her loving, generous spirit. Alvelma, continues to have a glorious Life through us. " A Time to Mourn" To Cherish precious memories of Alvelma " Baby " Stanfield are: her devoted husband of 9 years Henry Stanfield; Children: one son Earnest Norwood of Maypearl, TX, and one daughter Laura Branford of Waxahachie, TX; Four Step children Two sisters Annie Bell Williams of Waco, TX and Mildred Lee(Howard) of Rockdale, TX. Three Brothers AJ Norwood(Gurlie) of Oberlin, La. And Oliver Norwood of Cedar Hill, Texas and C. Anthony Norwood(Kathlyn) of San Antonio, TX; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; Three Special Daughters Stacy Norwood of Maypearl,TX, Danielle Abram of Fort Worth, TX, Virginia Ferry (Sissy) of Maypearl,TX and nieces and nephews and cousins. The memory of her spirit lives through these and many other relatives and friends
