Life Reflections of Mr. Bob C. Cobb, Sr.
Bob Clayton Cobb Sr., 66, of Midlothian, TX, was born on July 26, 1959, to the parentage of Wilbert Cobb Sr. and Dorothy Cobb. He peacefully transitioned on November 17, 2025.
Bob grew up in Midlothian and attended Midlothian public schools. He was known for his warm heart, caring nature, and outgoing spirit. Always concerned with the wellbeing of his family and friends, Bob carried a genuine love that touched every person he encountered.
A devoted and skilled craftsman, Bob worked as a carpenter with J & W Carpets for 30 years before retiring. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, where he served proudly as president of the “Shepherd Boys.”
Bob is preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Cobb Sr.; his mother, Dorothy Cobb; his nephew, Jimmy McKnight; along with his grandparents, aunts, uncles and other beloved relatives and friends who welcomed him home.
Bob leaves to cherish in his memory his loving wife of 24 years, and companion of 40 years, Sheryl Wynette Cobb. He is also survived by his children: D’Angelo Jackson (Cobb), Bob Clayton Jackson Jr. (Cobb), and Monique Jackson Cobb (Ke’Arro Johnson Sr.). Bob’s legacy continues through his grandchildren: Ke’Ana Johnson, Brendyn Jackson, Ke’Arro Johnson Jr., and Kamden Johnson. He is also survived by two brothers, Wilbert Cobb Jr. and Troy Lee Cobb (Schquanda); and three sisters, Sheree Branch (Kelvin), Barbra Batty (Gearld), and Tammy Moore (Ray).
Additional loved ones include his brother-in-law Jerry Jackson Jr. (Denise), six nephews—Ray Moore Jr., Willie Ray Washington, Jeffery Batty, Gearld Batty Jr., Drew McKnight (Samantha)—two nieces, Shrawna Batty and Crystal Batty, as well as a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great-great niece.
Bob’s life was one of love, service, and dedication. His kindness, faith, and unwavering devotion to his family will forever be treasured by all who knew him.
